How To Use A Douche or Enema!
The steps are slightly different depending on your choice of equipment, so you should adjust accordingly, this page is intended to be used as a broad guide to help you get started.
Step 1: Mix and Warm the Solution.
There are various solutions to use, and you may want to try a few different ones, for vaginal douches people suggest Apple Cider Vinegar is a good choice and for Anal Enemas people suggest Baking Soda and Water or Coffee is very popular. Whatever your choice of liquid you should warm the the solution to body temperature and then mix in your ingredients thoroughly. Warming the solution to body temperature is necessary as heat can stimulate the rectal mucosa, but also because cold solutions may cause cramping, or other unpleasant feelings.
Step 2: Fill the Enema Bag.
You should fill the enema bag, bulb or syringe with the pre-heated solution or choice (step 1), now ensure that the enema tube is clamped, flow control is locked or the nozzle is closed depending on your system. You should now assemble the equipment, If you have a bag system you should connect the enema bag to the enema tube, and in turn connect this to the nozzle. If you don’t have a bag and have a bulb or syringe you should assemble that much the same way and draw the fluid into the container as directed by the manufacturer.
Step 3: Get Comfortable and Position Yourself Correctly.
Position yourself on the left side to towards your front with your arms folded comfortably (maybe with a pillow), lying with your right knee drawn up towards the abdomen / chest (see top right). Alternatively assume a doggy style position on all fours only lower your chest and face down to meet your folded arms, and rest your head on the pillow or your arm tilted to the left (see bottom right).
Both of these position eases the passage and flow of fluid into the rectum. It can also aid enema distribution and water retention.
Step 4: Release The Water.
You should carefully lubricate the anus with your lube of choice and apply a generous amount of lube to nozzle and gently insert into the anus. If you have a bag style enema release the clamp which will allow the enema liquid to flow into the colon. If you have a bulb or other container, gently start to squeeze the liquid in into the colon and anus.
Good results can be obtained by massaging the belly and holding the water as long as as you can comfortably stand it. As soon as there is a sensation of fullness or the bag is empty, you should stop the flow of fluid into the anus and remove the nozzle form the anus. The fluid is retained for up to 10 minutes before emptying the bowel.
The procedure can be repeated several times until the colon is clean.
